Travel Services - Levels 2 & 3 Apprenticeship at Middlesbrough College

Course description

Apprenticeships allow 16 plus year olds to start work and earn a wage, while learning new skills that lead to nationally recognised qualifications. Apprenticeships are designed with the help of employers in the industry, so they offer a structured programme that takes Apprentices through the skills needed to do a job well. Most of an Apprentice's training takes place on the job but they will also have to complete off-the-job training within the College. It is an alternative to full time education study for those who would prefer to be employed within the Travel industry and customer service focused job role the learners will follow a work based learning route. Learners need to be employed for the duration of the apprenticeship period. If you undertake an Apprenticeship you will combine working and receiving a wage, with study towards a qualification. You will normally attend Middlesbrough College one day a week whilst gaining valuable, practical experience of the skills required in the workplace and earning money. You will undertake an 'Apprenticeship Framework', whereby you combine an NVQ, a Technical Certificate or Diploma (Underpinning knowledge) and English and Maths. The apprentice National Minimum Wage applies to all 16 to 18 year old apprentices and to those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship.
