Travel & Tourism BTEC Level 2 Extended Certificate at West Cheshire College

Course description

Do you want an exciting career where you could travel the world, meet new people and visit international travel destinations? This course will help your career take off! You will grow in confidence as you acquire a range of skills, such as planning trips to the UK and worldwide travel destinations, marketing and customer services. You’ll gain essential practical skills which will be enhanced by gaining experience in the workplace and through external training. You will also visit large employers and learn from key industry representatives who will share their expertise and knowledge. This course will enable you to progress on to a Level 3 programme or the 17+ Gateway to Employment course, with successful completion of English and maths at Level 2.

Course content

You will gain experience in planning trips, marketing and customer services, with practical skills which will be enhanced by gaining experience in the workplace.

Entry requirements

Four GCSEs at grade D or above, including English and maths, or successful completion of the Level 1 travel and tourism course including English and maths at Level 1.

Assessment

You will be continually assessed throughout the programme.
