Health & Social Care (Year 2) BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma at Carshalton College
The course consists of 18 units, completed over the 2 years and covers subject areas such as: Equality, Diversity & Rights in Health & Social Care, Research methodology, Applied Sociology, Vocational Practice, and Anatomy & Physiology etc.
Work placements are a major part of this course and students will be required to attend two days each week throughout the duration of the course.
A mixture of mandatory and optional units to achieve enough credits for each pathway. These will be discussed further at the interview based on your experience, interest and career aspiration.
You should be at least 16 years old.
Learners do not to be working but will need to undertake a work placement as a compulsory part of this qualification.
If you do not have GCSE grade A-C (or equivalent) on any of the diploma programmes you will undertake Functions Skills Math /English or GCSE Maths/English alongside your diploma as part of your programme of study.
It will be assessed by your tutor and assessor using a range of methods. These may include practical demonstrations and task-based assessments.
Fees are not normally paid by 16 to 18 year olds.
