Public Services BTEC Level 2 Diploma at BSix Brooke House Sixth Form College

Course description

This course will help you to develop the skills and knowledge needed when applying for, and working in, the police, fi re and ambulance services, armed forces, customs and excise or prison, youth and community or health services. You will learn about the work of these various services, as well as the entry requirements and promotion opportunities. You will have the opportunities to attend sessions run by the police, army, navy, fire and rescue within and outside the College. You will also go on a one week residential trip. WHAT YOU WILL BE LEARNING: Unit 1 - Public service skills Unit 4 - Career planning for the public services Unit 5 - Improving health and fi tness for entry to the uniformed public services

Entry requirements

Level 2 Diplomas for students with 4 D grades at GCSE.

Future opportunities

This course develops your learning and prepares you to go on to study the level BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Public Services
