Basic Construction Skills - Level 1 at Easton & Otley College

Course description

The aim of the course is to give learners a taste of different skills within the industry, allowing them to eventually specialise in one area.

Areas studied will be bricklaying, carpentry, painting and decorating, plumbing and tiling. In addition you will develop skills for employability and life skills in your vocational area of interest, have an opportunity to complete work-based experience to develop career progression and complete a community and enterprise project.

Numeracy, literacy and ICT are embedded within your qualification through blended delivery.

Future opportunities

On completion of this course you can progress onto your specific vocational area of interest or the Internship Programme or become an Apprentice in the work place.
