Air Cabin Crew Level 2 Diploma at The City of Liverpool College
A new and exciting qualification here at The City of Liverpool College, that is designed to assist learners to find their first role working as part of a cabin crew. Cabin crew is a diverse, social and well travelled career that is popular among our students. The course is designed for 16 – 18 year old students who want broad–based vocational preparation for employment in a Cabin Crew role.
The course is delivered over a 30 week programme. It contains 6 core units as well as an individually designed combination of English and Maths. It also includes a Food Beverage qualification which incorporates theory as well as practical sessions essential for the industry. There will also be an option for a First Aid qualification as well as a language.
As part of the programme, there may be additional costs linked to uniforms as well as various out of college trips especially to Manchester, Birmingham and Liverpool John Lennon Airports.
You will need to have 3 GCSEs at Grade D, or a level 1 equivalent qualification in a relevant subject, achieved within the last 5 years.
All students aged 16-18 without GCSE English and maths at C or above will work towards these qualifications while on their course.
Please be aware, popular airlines ask that you do not have any tattoos. Although it is not an entry requirement for the course, it will effect your ability to progress into a cabin crew position.
• Candidates will be encouraged to progress onto the Btec Level 3 Diploma in Travel and Tourism on the completion of the course.
• Other progression routes might include directly moving into the industry working as Cabin Crew, working in the aviation sector or using the transferable skills gained on the course to work in another similar industry especially with the high levels of customer service and care skills required and involved.
