Children & Young People's Workforce BTEC Level 2 Certificate at LeSoCo

Course description

On this course you will explore how to care for children and young people under the age of 18. Specific units include: Contributing to the Support of the Child and Young Person's Development; Managing Paediatric Illness and Injury; Health and Safety; Understanding Partnership Working; Equality and Inclusion; Safeguarding; Positive Environments; and First Aid.

Entry requirements

Four GSCEs (any subjects) at grades D-E (one of which must be a related subject) - or successful completion of a Level 1 substantial qualification in a related subject - plus an initial assessment that indicates an appropriate level of English and mathematical ability, a satisfactory reference, and a substantial qualification in a related subject.

Future opportunities

Successful completion of the programme can lead to the Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Development, and the Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce.
