This vocational course is highly practical in nature and as there are no examinations, is particularly suited to students who prefer to be assesed through coursework. It offers you the opportunity to learn about the  key business functions such as marketing, finance and human resource management through focused assignments based on real business scenarios, giving you habnds -on experience of businesses in action.

You will develop an understanding of business concepts and theories by applying them to practical situations. Assignments are graded at Distinction, Merit or Pass.

Future opportunities

Past students have progressed on to university courses, often in business related subjects such as Accounting, Marketing, Mangament and Human Resources. The units covered lend themselves well to progression onto degree courses in Business, Marketing and Law but previous students have gone on to study a wide range of other subjects.

Previous students who have chosen to go directly into employment have taken up careers in areas such as management trainee programmes, retail, business administration apprenticeships or alternatively parallel careers in, for example, local government, health care, or law.
