Chemistry A Level at Alderman White School and Language College
The course develops skills, knowledge and understanding of How Science Works. The course allows students to appreciate how society makes decisions about scientific issues and how Chemistry contributes to the success of the economy and society
The 3 units covered are:
- Chemistry for Life.
- Chemistry of Natural Resources.
- Chemistry in Practice (internal assessment)
The first units above are examined in either January or June. The Chemistry in practice coursework involves practical skills carried out in class.
Students on this course have gone on to degree courses involving all aspects of chemistry such as Medicine, Sports Science courses and Material Science.
