Course description

Whether you are an employer looking to take on a junior/ assistant or a person wishing to get into the Photography Industry, this apprenticeship framework would be an opportunity for you. Course content

Candidates will need to prove competence and knowledge in the subject area. To achieve this candidates and their employer select units from a large pool. Some of the units available include: * Understand legal and ethical requirements relating to photo imaging * Contribute to good working relationships * Ensure your own actions reduce risks to health and safety * Agree the photo imaging brief * Undertake colour management procedures * Undertake a photographic assignment * Plan and organise a photographic assignment * Undertake technical adjustment of images * Photo image capture * Digital image manipulation Candidates will need to prove competence and knowledge in the subject area. Entry requirements

There are no entry conditions for this Apprenticeship course. However, many employers require good (A* - C) GCSE passes in English and Maths in order to enter the programme.

Assessment

Throughout the Apprenticeship as skills and knowledge are developed and evidence of this gathered, progress will be assessed by the course team. Evidence may be gathered in many different ways including: * Written * Research * Practical activity * Group work * Discussion * Observation of activity * Photographs * Witness statements * And a variety of other methods Additional work based assessments will be carried out by our ICT Work Based Assessor.

Future opportunities

Progression from Level 3 is available via the HNC/D Photography course run in the college.
