NVQ Diploma in Professional Cookery - Level 2 at South Thames College

Course description

Perfect if you're working in the hospitality and catering industry and want more experience and an industry-recognised qualification. This course will improve and develop your prep and cookery skills with hands-on learning and masterclasses with renowned chefs. You'll leave with a wide range of techniques to use in the professional kitchen. The College has a strong track record in local and national culinary competitions so you'll have the chance to compete against your peers to help boost your understanding and experience.

Entry requirements

Three GCSEs grades A*-G including English or maths; OR other related qualifications and experience.

Assessment

Through observation, discussion and presentation of your personal portfolio.

Further information

There is a materials fee to cover the cost of food and materials you'll use for assessments. You'll need to buy chef's whites to wear on the course. Your tutor will confirm the cost of this when you come in for interview.
