A Level Geography at Rosedale College

Course description

By choosing A Level Geography you will be picking a subject that will provide you with the many of skills that will help you later in life no matter what you decide to do whether it is to go onto university or to head into the work place. Geography is a subject that explains the world around us; it looks at the landscape, the atmosphere, ecosystems and the people who interact with all these elements. These topics are always in the news whether it be natural disasters, climate change or issues of concern such as world poverty and trade. In Geography we use a wide range of teaching and learning styles to study these issues. It is not a requirement that you studied Geography at GCSE; the department wants people who have a genuine interest in why the world is like it is and how we may expect to see it change in the future.
