What will I learn?

... skills and knowledge in performing manufacturing operations at a level required by the engineering industry. You will gain an understanding of the statutory regulations and organisational safety requirements to work safely, efficiently and effectively in manucturing. You will also improve your Maths and English as well as your knowledge about the engineering industry. you can adapt your learning to meet your interests and what you do in your job. 

Entry requirements

You need no qualifications to do this course. You must be over 16, willing to learn, be enthusiastic, reliable and happy to learn from feedback from your tutors and employer.


you collect evidence to demonstrate your competency in work in your E-portfolio. You will take bite size online tests for you Maths and English. Your knowledge is assessed by online multiple choice tests and through your E-portfolio.

Future opportunities

you can do the next level - a Higher Apprenticeship, or choose to develop your skills by undertaking continued professional development courses or an Apprenticeship in Team Leading or Management. You can carry on earning money and get more qualifications, keeping your options open.
