Digital Media BTEC Diploma – Level 3 at Dudley College

Course description

This is the first year of a 2 year course, IT for Practitioners BTEC Extended Diploma Level 3 which has a specialism towards animation, games and web develpoment in the first year. The course has been designed to provide you with the knowledge and advanced skills to progress into employment or university. Skills such as animation production, website management, network configuration, programming and computer repair are covered. The BTEC Level 3 in Computing is equivalent to 3 A Levels at A*

Entry requirements

Option 1:
Two GCSEs at grade C and a grade 4 in English and mathematics.

Option 2:
BTEC Level 2 in ICT or OCR Cambridge Nationals Level 2 in ICT.

Assessment

Assessment is through a combination of written assignments, practical work and presentations.

Future opportunities

The BTEC Level 3 in Computing equips you with the knowledge to progress onto HND Computing at Dudley College, a university degree or alternatively career opportunities in virtually any area of computing.
