If you are part of the new grading system for GCSE we would see a Grade 4 or above as the equivalent of a Grade C in this offer.
Students should have a minimum of five Cs at GCSE or equivalent, including English Language and or Maths. A serious interest in the subject is paramount and our interview process will entail you presenting your own portfolio of previous work, as well as completing a photographic task.
This Level 3 qualification is assessed via a combination of internal assessment, where tasks are set and marked by your tutors, and external assessment where tasks are set by BTEC and your response to them is marked by BTEC examiners.
After the successful completion of the Extended Diploma/Diploma in Photography, students can progress to university level study. A Foundation Degree and a BA (Hons) Degree in Photography are offered by Leeds City College.
English and Maths will be built into your course if your grades are below 4/5
