Molecules, Blood and Gas Exchange (includes
blood for medical use, monitoring heart and
lung function, circulatory system) Growth,
Development and Disease (includes fetal
development, treatment of cancer, infectious
and non-infectious diseases) Practical Skills in
Human Biology 1
Year 13:
Energy, Reproduction and Populations
(includes respiration, athletic performance,
fertility and contraception) Genetics, Control
and Ageing (includes genetic techniques,
treating nervous system injuries, homeostasis
and ageing) Practical Skills in Human Biology

Entry requirements

You should have studied Science to Intermediate level by taking either double Award Science GCSE or GNVQ Intermediate. You may have taken Biology as a separate subject at GCSE.
