Geography AS & A Level at Ashlyns School

Course description

Do you have a passionate interest in the wider world, be it curiosity about how a landscape has formed, or an interest in how a community might be affected by transnational corporations? Geography (human and physical) is at the core of understanding how and why the modern world is so complex and ever changing. We explore how to interpret our changing world in a wide range of circumstances; the complex connections between societies, economies, cultures and environments, both locally and on a wider scale, and why sustainable development is so important in a broader context.
