Design Technology: Product Design Textiles at St Aidan's and St John Fisher's Associated Sixth Form

Course description

This course encourages independent learning, creativity and innovation. It provides wide opportunities to develop your capacity to design and make textile products, ranging from fashion to industrial uses of textiles, and from creative individual work to commercial practice.

Students develop skills in pattern drafting, the use of CNC embroidery, digital printing and laser cut fabrics. They also have the opportunity to apply other areas of study, such as Chemistry, in a practical context.

Entry requirements

It is strongly advised that students intending to study this course should have previously studied GCSE Technology Textiles and achieved a grade B or above.
