Engineering & Manufacturing Advanced Apprenticeship at Harlow College
There are many professional Engineering careers and the Advanced Apprenticeship will equip you with the knowledge and skills to move into higher level study at work or university. Engineering needs creative people who can solve problems and lead teams to find solutions. As an advanced apprentice, you can earn while you’re learning and gain industry wide recognised Engineering qualifications as you work.

This framework is designed to give the learner a solid foundation for a career at technician level with the potential to move onto higher level learning in the many engineering environments. Learning is conducted through practical and theory sessions at the College to achieve the technical certificate which links to the work-based training and experience to achieve the NVQ Level 3 in Engineering.
The framework consists of the following:
- BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Engineering
- Employment Rights and Responsibilities
- Key Skills
- NVQ Level 3 Engineering
To achieve full framework you will need to pass all elements of the course.
- BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Engineering, Intermediate Apprenticeship in Engineering or 4 GCSEs at Grade C or above including Maths, Science and English
- You must be at least 16 years of age with no upper age limit
