Mathematics at Wollaston School
Students follow the Edexcel Mathematics B (1388) GCSE syllabus. This is a modular course which requires students to demonstrate understanding in the following attainment targets: Using and applying mathematics Use of number Use of algebra Spatial awareness Use and analysis of statistics The course is taught in three tiers: Higher grades available A*, A, B, C, D Intermediate B, C, D, E Foundation D, E, F, G All students must take two module examinations during the course, one in the March of Year 10 and one in the January of Year 11. Each module is worth 15% of the final grade. Students must also complete two additional examination papers in the June of Year 11.
