Construction (Brickwork) Level 2 Diploma at Chelmsford College

Course description

Level 2 advances knowledge and skills to a semi-skilled level ready for employment and NVQ assessment in the work place. Extensive workshop skills to suit your specialist pathway are anticipated, supported by detailed knowledge, including attached/detached piers and extensive decorative brickwork. Cavity walling -windows and modern methods of arch construction. Brick cladding to timber frame.

Entry requirements

Completion of the Level 1 Diploma in construction.

Assessment

5-7 units of knowledge support for each specialist pathway. Multi choice question paper per unit, 1-5 synoptic assessments, (assessed practical tasks), dependant of chosen specialist pathway.

    • Our Princes Road campus houses many of our practical vocational areas. Laid out over a two-floor site with car parking and good links to buses, the campus boasts a new Electrical and Engineering block.

      A new welcome area with internet cafe, refectory and conservatory area for students to relax and socialise are also available.

      In addition to Electrical and Engineering, our Princes Road campus also houses our Construction workshops and Hospitality and Catering kitchens, with our Princes Room restaurant open to the public.

      The campus also houses a Learning Centre, Skills Development Centre, Assessment Centre and Tutorial Centre.
