History AS / A2 at The Hermitage Academy

Course description

History is an excellent subject to study as employers and universities view it favourably. It is not just knowledge that you gain but it is all about learning and developing analytical skills which you need to be successful in the subject. History requires you to be able to construct an argument and use evidence to back up the decision that you make. It also requires you not to take information as face value but question who made it, when and why. Skills like this will help you in the wider world even if you do not go onto study History at university.
