Unit 2: Education with Research Methods (30% of A-Level, 2 hour paper)

What is the purpose of education in society and who is the education system designed to serve? How do sociologists carry out research and how does it influence social policy?

A2 Level

Unit 3: Global Development (20% of A-Level, 1 hour 30 minute paper)

Do colonial legacies still exist? Why do some countries develop quicker than others? Should we give aid to poor countries?

Unit 4: Crime and Deviance with Theory and Methods (30% of A-Level, 2 hour paper)

How is crime distributed across social class, ethnicity and gender? Who decides what is and is not a crime?
