Course description

Apprenticeships are a vocational training programme leading to a series of qualifications, offering the opportunity to earn while you learn using real working life experience. To become an apprentice, you must be employed in a suitable position.

Course content

Work Based Learning Element - Security QCF Level 2 certificate is a work based qualification that you will complete in your work place. An assessor will be assigned to help you select the modules which best fit with your work and will visit you regularly to help you compile a portfolio of evidence to show your competence. Normally a Level 2 certificate will take a minimum of 12-15 months to complete.

Modules include:
- Carrying out vehicle searches
- Effective communication
- Control of security incidents

Knowledge Element - Technical Certificate Level 2 & Functional Skills: You may need to attend College on a release programme, during which you will work towards your Technical Certificate and any Functional Skills required to complete your apprenticeship.   An individual plan will be discussed with you and your employer.

Entry requirements
