Course description

Every app you use, every website you browse, every device you interact , begins with computer code. The demand for computer programmers and coders worldwide continues to grow on a daily basis.

Don't be the person who just uses computer apps, be the person who writes them !

Course content

You will undertake activities such as analysis, understanding and generically solving problems resulting in algorithm, verification or requirements of the algorithm, testing, de-bugging and the implementation of the build system. You will also learn about binary codes, networks and other related areas

Entry requirements

3 Bs/5s and 3 Cs/4s at GCSE


You will be assessed through a series of practical, written essays and presentation tasks to compile an impressive portfolio.

Financial information

Full time courses are free to 16-18 year olds who are EU citizens

Future opportunities

After you have completed the course you could progress to university to study a related degree such as computing, software, analysis, computer coding, animation and more. Employers will recognise the qualification as evidence that you are someone with high technological skills as well as ambitions
