Physics A-Level at Reading School

Course description

Physics is perhaps the most fundamental of all the sciences. It provides us with explanations of how the stars evolve and the nature of subatomic particles using a mathematical framework.

Physics can turn our world view upside-down with mind bending concepts such as Relativity where time and space become one or Quantum Physics where cause and effect no longer works!

AS and A2 Physics at Reading School is a practical and demonstration led course with a high level of mathematical content.

Entry requirements

GCSE Grade B in Physics or A in both Science and Additional Science. GCSE Grade A in Mathematics is also expected.

Future opportunities

The possibilities for employment are endless from the many fields of Engineering to Finance, Computer Science to Physics research. Physics underpins it all.
