Business Administration Level 2 Apprenticeship at Middlesbrough College

Course description

Apprenticeships allow 16+ year olds to start work and earn a wage, while learning new skills that lead to nationally recognised qualifications. Apprenticeships are designed with the help of employers in the industry, so they offer a structured programme that takes Apprentices through the skills needed to do a job well. Most of an Apprentice's training takes place on the job but they will also have to complete off- the- job training within the College. Level 2 Diploma in Business and Administration (Combined)

Course content

Personal Responsibilities and Working in a Business Environment Providing Administrative Services Managing Information and Producing Documents Supporting Change in a Business Environment Maintaining Stationery Stocks This list is not exhausted, the course offers many other options which would be individually agreed and planned with yourself and the employer to match your job description.

Entry requirements

Applicants preferably should have attained GCSE C grade or equivalent qualifications in English, Maths and IT. Employment as a Trainee in Business and Administration is essential. College interview and initial assessments will take place. If you do not have a Grade A to C in English and/or Maths, you will be required to continue studying these subjects as part of your Study Programme.


The combined qualification is assessed through work- based evidence compiled as a portfolio, online multiple choice tests, assignments and written knowledge statements. English, Maths and ICT are assessed using online tests.

Future opportunities

On completion of the Business and Administration Apprenticeship at Level 2, Apprentices can go on to complete the Business and Administration Advanced Apprenticeship Level 3.
