GCE AS Level Psychology at St Chads Catholic and Church of England High School
This subject answers some of the deepest questions about why people behave in a particular way. We all make judgements on how others behave and then try to work out how they will behave in the future; we are all really naive psychologists trying to make sense of our world. Psychology can help in a diverse range of careers including teaching, management, the police, social work, child/criminal psychologists, medicine, PR work and many others.
Advanced courses usually require a grade C or above in the subjects you wish to study. (Mathematics and Modern Foreign Languages may require a grade B).
Year 12: 2 x 1½ hour examinations with choices of questions in the topics studied in Year 12. A piece of coursework relating to a topic area studied in Year 12.
