Mathematics - Further Mathematics Advanced Level GCE at Corby Business Academy

Course description

What is Further Advanced Level?

Its A-level Mathematics - only harder. You do twelve units in total to get two A Levels and the work you do in Y13 is the equivalent of first year degree work at some Universities. If you think you can get your head around topics such as matrix algebra, rigid body mechanics, regression and correlation, and Cartesian equations, it could be the subject for you.

Is this for me?

If you are a hard working well motivated mathematician who really enjoys algebra and problem solving. If you are going to get an A or higher GCSE grade and you want to go onto to study a pure maths degree or a strongly related subject such as engineering or to study to be an actuary. Then Advanced Level Further Mathematics is the course for you.

What courses does it go with?

You have to do A Level Mathematics and it goes well with the science courses or business and information technology.
