Environmental Sciences at Neston High School

Course description

The AS and A2 Environmental Studies courses allow students to study key Environmental issues and principles in interesting contexts. For example, in Year 12 students learn about Conservation, land use, atmosphere, climate change, water, the lithosphere and are given the opportunity to learn and practice techniques used by environmental scientists in the field.

The A2 year begins with our annual residential visit to Anglesey in which we apply fieldwork and statistical techniques whilst studying the terrestrial and marine life there. In year 13 they study pollution, energy resources, sustainability, fishery management, farming and forestry.
