Physics A Level at St Peter's Catholic Comprehensive School
Learning physics involves students attempting to understand the world around them. Students will work on a diverse range of theories which include the origins and structure of the Universe, how a stunt plane pulls 10 “g” in a turn and the mysteries of quantum phenomena. Students learn to apply physics concepts to practical problem solving. Theory is developed through a diverse range of demonstrations and practical experiences. The dynamics topic is also enhanced with a visit to a theme park.
Students need to have at least a GCSE Grade B in Additional Science or Physics and a GCSE Grade B in Mathematics.
