What does the course involve? This qualification is linear. Linear means that students will sit all their exams and submit all their non-exam assessment at the end of the course.

Entry requirements

GCSE grades A* - C in 5 subjects (including English and Mathematics) GCSE Grade B in PE

You must have a keen interest in sport and be actively involved in sport as either a coach or performer.

Non-exam assessment: Practical performance in physical activity and sport

Students assessed as a performer or coach in the full sided version of one activity.

Plus: written/verbal analysis of performance.

  • Internal assessment, external moderation
  • 90 marks
  • 30% of A-level
