Course description

A free training programme for 16 - 18 year olds to gain the skills and qualifications to progress into Aprrenticeships and employment. Whether you are looking for hairdressing or mechanics, retail or construction, Juniper can support you into your chosen career whatever that career may be, Our experienced, qualified staff will support you through your qualifications and help you with any issues you may have.

 

 

 

 

Course content

The programme caters for all occupational sectors from Hairdressing to construction and the core aim of the programme is a BTEC Extended  Work Skills Certificate which is delivered up to a Level 2 and the oportunity to upskill in Maths and English up to a Level 2 Functional Skill. The programme also offers work experience and the oportunity to progress into Further Education, Apprenticeships or Employment with a Nationally recognised Qualification. The programme offers aditional support throughout to ensure our 100% progression promise is met.

Entry requirements

None

Assessment

Initial and diagnostic assessments are completed prior to the start of the programme to identify skills gaps in Maths and English.  Also identifying any aditional support requirements.

Financial information

You can claim up to £40 per week Bursary (conditions apply) plus other additional benefits

Future opportunities

We offer a 100% progression promise to ensure Students progress into either an Aprenticeship, Employment with a Nationally recognised qualification, or into further Education.

      Course content

      You will have an opportunity to either improve your existing English and Maths grades or obtain some qualifications in English and Maths if you have left school without any. You will then progress onto a job, apprenticeship or further education - the choice is yours.
