Early Years Educator - Level 3 at East Kent College

Course description

Perfect if you are looking to move into employment within the childcare profession or want to progress on to university.

Course content

You’ll learn the skills needed to plan curriculum, and care for and educate young children 0-7 years.

You will also develop essential skills ready for employment with valuable information and guidance to prepare you for the process of job applications.

You can look forward to participating in two full days of work placements in our on-site nursery or with another local childcare provider allocated by the work placement officer

Entry requirements

You will need a minimum of five GCSEs at C grades or equivalent, including maths and English. Students may be able to progress from Level 2 vocationally related programmes.

Assessment

You will learn through practical and theoretical lessons and build a portfolio of work.

If you are 16-18yrs old at the start of the Study Programme, it will be free. There may be additional payments required for trips, visits and other materials. If you are aged 19 and over an Advanced Learning loan may be available if you are studying at Level 3 and above. To find out if you’re eligible visit www.24plusmicrosite.com/eligible-tool.
