Learn how to diagnose and repair more complex faults within a wider range of machinery with the Land-based Advanced Level 3 Apprenticeship. This qualification will allow you to train for roles such as a workshop supervisor, independent technician or demonstrator, all in which have more responsibility within the job role. You will work with all types of agricultural and horticultural machinery; from tractors to chainsaws, quad Bikes to lawnmowers. A key part of any operation is well maintained equipment and quick, effective solutions to unforeseen problems. You may be working in a main dealership servicing and maintaining modern equipment or working for agricultural engineers who specialise in all aspects of engineering and fabrication. The land-based industry is diverse and the correct use of its machinery and equipment is essential to its daily running and successes.

An assessor will visit the workplace regularly to assess your competence and to help you build a portfolio of evidence. You will attend college one day per week to complete the Technical Certificate.
