Creative Media Production Diploma Level 1 at Canterbury College Not

Course description

This course is aimed at those wanting to find out more about the world of media, understand the media industry, and develop their media production skills and knowledge. It will also provide you with the personal skills needed for employment. This qualification will form the main part of your Canterbury College study programme. Our study programmes combine your main qualification and may involve work experience and maths & English.

Course content

You will learn about: developing video & audio production; editing; desktop publishing, and job opportunities in creative media.

Entry requirements

English and maths, interview, task completion for interview and Summer school/autumn school

Assessment

You will be continually assessed by practical and written assignments, group projects and production work. All units you study are graded, a final major project will determine your final grade for the qualification. In addition, you will study and take an exam in at least one functional skill/GCSE (in English and mathematics).

Future opportunities

You will be able to move onto a Level 2 Media Production course or another Creative Arts course at this level.
