Course description

Description of the subjectBiology is the study of living organisms, which includes their structure (gross and microscopic), function, origin and evolution, classification, interrelationships and distribution.Your ability to plan and use laboratory apparatus to collect data is developed during practical activities as well as its subsequent analysis and interpretation.

Course content

What you will do·       Acquire an understanding of biological principles.·       Develop laboratory based skills.·       Improve your ability to interpret data and formulate balanced answers based on evidence.·       Visit and study various ecologically rich sites both locally and nationally.

Entry requirements

Qualifications to start the courseAt least 5 GCSEs at grade C or above, to include at least grades BB in Double Science or BCC in Triple Science.
