Planning Apprenticeship Level 3 at Virgin Media Ltd

Course description

Joining Virgin Media as an engineering apprentice means you’re guaranteed to work with the latest tech and the most passionate people. You’ll be part of a business with massive ambition. One that imagines the future and makes it happen.

Course content

All apprentices on the Level 3 scheme are on an 18 month apprenticeship.

Entry requirements

3 or more GCSEs at grade C or above, including English and Maths. We’d prefer you to have a Science subject too, but that’s not vital.

We expect every apprentice to have a full manual driving licence by the time they start with us, but you won’t need one to apply.

To apply for Advanced or Higher schemes, you’ll also need A levels (or equivalent qualifications) in any subject.

Completion of Level 2 Functional Skills Exams (Maths English Reading , English Writing and ICT).

Financial information

The starting salary is £17,500 p.a. A first year increment is on offer with satisfactory progress on the scheme to £21,000 p.a.

Further information

There is pay progression during the apprenticeship based on performance, and all apprentices become members of the ITP, which is the Institute of Telecoms Professionals.

And that’s just the beginning of an awesome rewards package. You might be learning your trade, but you’ll still enjoy all the benefits of a regular Virgin Media employee.

Those include:

  • Paid holiday
  • Pension Bonus scheme
  • Private healthcare
  • Life assurance
  • Staff saving schemes
  • Dental care
  • Critical illness cover
  • Special discounts on all our products

So at work and at play, you’ll have plenty of reasons to wear a great big grin like you own it.

How to apply

If you want to apply for this course, you will need to contact Virgin Media Ltd directly.
