Geography gives you an insight into the modern world. It gives you an understanding of our environment and some of the great global issues of our time. It bridges the Arts and the Sciences so appeals to a wide range of students.There is an opportunity to go on a residential field trip in which you are able to apply knowledge and skills to real life investigations.

It is necessary for students to have achieved a grade B or above in GCSE Geography in order to provide the required foundation for advanced studies.
Geography is regarded as an academic A Level when considering university and career choices. There are both BA and BSc courses in Geography, depending on a student’s interest. It is possible to combine Geography with a range of Arts and Science disciplines. In relation to careers, the subject provides a range of key skills, such as communication, working with others and problem solving, which makes Geography a favoured subject with employers.
