Year 12

  • Weimar and Nazi Germany, the Rise of Hitler and Nazism (1918-45).
  • The Middle East, 1945-2001: The State of Israel and Arab Nationalism.
  • Britain 1860-1930: The Suffragettes and the Changing Position of Women.

    Year 13

  • Britain and the Challenge of Fascism: Saving Europe at a Cost? (1925-60) including British foreign policy in the run up to WWII, the Battle of Britain, D-Day and the Home Front.
  • The Making of Modern Russia (1856-1964) including the Russia of the Tsars, the Russian Revolution, Communist rule, Lenin, Stalin, Khrushchev and the Cold War.

  • Entry requirements

    The general entrance requirement for the Sixth Form is 6 or more A*-C grades including either English or Maths and with any BTEC qualifications worth half. A* - B in GCSE History or RS; A* - C in GCSE English Language
