BTEC Acting Level 3 Extended Diploma at The Da Vinci Studio School of Creative Enterprise

Course description

The Level 3 Extended Diploma in Acting aims to develop your acting skills and knowledge as well as prepare you for employment or further study. You will be taught team working skills; performance skills; research skills; how to work professionally and be introduced to contacts in the industry.


 

Course content

This course is designed to give you an overview of the diversity of the field of performing arts and help prepare you to move on to drama school and university. You will have the opportunity to study:


 

- Film and TV acting
- Directing
- Principles of acting
- Script writing
- Classical theatre


 


 

Entry requirements

To take this pathway you will need to have achieved 5 GCSEs at grade C and above including English and maths. You can also apply if you have a Level 2 qualification at Merit or above.

Future opportunities

After this course students can go on to study at drama schools and university. Previous students have gone on to study at East 15, Central School of Speech and Drama, ALRA, RADA, Winchester and Manchester Metropolitan University among others. There is also the opportunity for students to go onto work in the industry in areas such as film, television and coat style entertainment.
