Business BTEC Level 2 Diploma at Brooklands College

Course description

These courses will give you an introduction to the skills and knowledge required for all types of work in the business environment. You will be taught by experienced and specialist members of business teaching staff in conjunction with external speakers.  All of the units studied will have a real life business focus. You will also have the opportunity to take part in business projects and trips including Dragons Den in association with the Royal Bank of Scotland.

Course content

• Exploring Key Business Issues
• Investigating Financial Control
• Visual Merchandising
• Customer Service
• Starting Up a New Business

You will also undertake a work experience placement to help develop your business acumen.

Entry requirements

Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade D or above and/or successful achievement of a level 1 qualification.

Assessment

You will be assessed continuously through assignments/project based work.

Financial information

During the year there will be the opportunity to attend some trips and events. Costs will be advised by your tutor.  Students are allocated a certain amount of free printing, after which a small fee will be incurred.

Future opportunities

Successful completion of this course can lead to progression onto the BTEC Level 3 Business courses or employment.
