Land-based Entry Level 2 and 3 Study Programmes at Askham Bryan College

Course description

Entry Level programmes are for anyone with learning difficulties or disabilities who wishes to study in a vocational area. If you need extra help with learning, but like to be active and on the go, and are up for trying new and exciting things, this could be the opportunity you are looking for.  Students will gain hands-on practical skills in land-based areas such as animal care, land and plants, or practical countryside skills, while developing adult independency and opportunities for future employment.

FACILITIES

The Animal Care strand is delivered in the College’s Animal Management unit where a broad range of animals are cared for. The Land and Plants Vocational strand has a well developed horticulture area managed specifically by Independence students who grow their own produce.
