Art (Fine Art) A-Level at Carr Hill High School and Sixth Form Centre

Course description

You will learn to be confident in the areas of ideas’ development and creative response to a theme or personal line of enquiry. You will also learn to express yourself verbally in the critical arena to be found in the presentation or seminar situation and to explore 2D and 3D ideas via drawing, printmaking, sculpture work, ceramics, painting, mixed media and SLR Digital Photography as well as developing a keen awareness of the cultural history of Art and Design.

Entry requirements

GCSE grade C or above in Art is normally required. The desire to continue your interest in Art and Design to A2 Level and possibly beyond to degree level is an advantage, although students who have an interest in Art to AS should also feel encouraged to opt for this course.
