Entry to the Uniformed Services Level 2 at Highbury College

Course description

This qualification has been specifically designed for the 16-19 year old age group, is based on fitness National Occupational Standards (NOS) and is recognised by the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) as being fit for purpose for those learners seeking employment as a fitness instructor.

Course content

A substantial vocational qualification that develops the knowledge, understanding and technical skills needed to become a fitness instructor in gym based exercise.

Entry requirements

  • 4 A*-C grades
  • a passion for sport and fitness
  • Experience at county level in at least one sport.

Assessment

There will be a mixture of Assignments, Workshops, Presentations, Exams, Role play and Observations.

Future opportunities

Employment into the Sporting Sector or progression onto a Level 3 Program.
