Health and Social Apprenticeship Level 3 at Stratford-upon-Avon College
This qualiﬁcation develops the knowledge and skills needed when working in a senior role with adults in health and social care environments. It covers a wide range of areas including supporting individuals with their physical and emotional care, daily living needs and health care procedures.
It has three pathways:
- Generic Health and Social Care
- Learning Disability
It is also a must-have for all those undertaking the Level 3 Health and Social Care Apprenticeship. Upon completion you can progress in job roles such as; Senior Care Support Workers in Residential Settings Senior Healthcare Assistants in Community, Primary Care and Acute Health Environments, Senior Care Support Workers in Domiciliary Services, Supported Living or Day Services, Community-Based Senior Support Workers.
This consists of the following qualification:
Diploma CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (The Diploma requires 58 credits).
Technical Certificate CACHE Level 3 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care (QCF).
*Functional Skills Functional skills in Mathematics. Functional skills in English.
Other CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Employment, Rights and Responsibilities
*Functional Skills are only applicable to learners who have not already achieved GCSE grade A-C in English and Maths (or equivalent)
It will be assessed by your tutor or assessor using a range of methods. This could include direct observation in the workplace, a portfolio of evidence, written assignments or a task set by CACHE.( 8 workshops available with assessor).
*If applicable to achieve the Functional Skill components, you will be required to undergo a series of formal tests. All knowledge required to achieve these components will be gained alongside the Diploma. Testing will commence at College and you will be required to attend sessions at College.
The Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services (England).
