on electrical equipment and circuits, modifying or rewiring electrical

circuits, assisting in the installation of electrical/ electronic equipment and

carry out quality inspections

Carry out planned and emergency fault diagnosis, maintenance and testing

on pneumatic/ hydraulic equipment and circuits, assisting in the installation

of fluid power equipment and carry out quality inspections

Lift Services

Carry out planned and emergency fault diagnosis on lifts/escalators,

inspecting and servicing lift/escalator equipment, rectifying and repairing

faults in lifts/escalators and carrying out quality inspections Plant and Systems

Carry out planned and emergency fault diagnosis and maintenance on

mechanical and electrical equipment and systems, modifying or restoring

plant/systems to usable condition by repair, producing replacement

components, assisting in the installation of equipment and carry out quality

inspections

 

Entry requirements

This course is suitable for employees aged 16 or over working in the Maintenance Service Industries.

Candidates must possess GCSEs grade C and above in maths and English, be employed and working in the Engineering Maintenance arena.

The candidate will be requested to attend an interview where they will be asked to undertake technical assessment and a basic skills assessment .

The apprentice must have access to a range of work via their employer to enable completion of the NVQ Diploma.
