Geography A Level at Lydiard Park Academy

Course description

This course will give students the opportunity to extend their knowledge on the Physical world as we study Rivers, Coasts, Deserts or Polar regions and in Human Geography the population crisis, the Geography of Health and Globalisation. There is a second part to the course which will include field work and problem solving, this will bring the subject to life and connections with the real world.

Course content

AS: ● Rivers and Population changes ● Polar ● Health ● Map skills and fieldwork activities

A2: ● Weather and Climate ● Tectonics ● World Development ● Geography of Crime or Sport

Entry requirements

A successful student will need: ● Interested in the world. ● Want to solve problems and make decisions. ● Independent worker. ● Inspired by the impact of the Physical World on the Human World. ● Inspired by the impact of Human World on the Physical World. .
