Electricals Foundation Certificate at Millennium Academy Ltd

Course description

To equip candidates with the necessary knowledge and practical skills for domestic electrical work. This course aims at candidates with little or no Electrical background and prepares them for progression onto the assessments in Part P, and then for the17th Edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations.

§         Calculating cable sizes and load demands

§         Basic Lighting circuits

§         Introduction to wiring regulations

§         2 way lighting circuits

§         Safe isolation procedures

§         2 way lighting and intermediate circuits

§         Three phase systems

§         Radial power circuits (cooker points etc)

§         Basic inspection and testing

§         Wiring of plugs

§         Domestic Circuit Arrangements

§         Earthing and bonding procedures
