Course content

Citizenship Our course meets the statutory requirements of the Citizenship National Curriculum programme of study for Key Stage 4. This is delivered through Skills for Life and across the curriculum. The Themes studied are · Human Rights. · Power, Politics and the Media. · The Global Village. Students who opt for GCSE Applied ICT will take a short course GCSE in Citizenship. With the RE course this will make up a full GCSE. The Edexcel course covers the themes listed above and students will also undertake a citizenship activity. Assessment

It is assessed by: 1) Written examination (60%) - 1 hour 15 minutes - All three themes will be covered 2) Internal assessment portfolio (40%)
